"Spanish Guitar Travels" : Andrea Gonzalez Caballero + Ali Arango - XIII Alhambra International Guitar Competition
At the XIII Alhambra International Guitar Competition I witnessed the launch of the career of Andrea Gonzalez Caballero winning 1st Prize and also met Ali Arango the winner of the previous XII competition (now also the winner of the 2017 Segovia International Competition).
Both have chosen Vilaplana NT guitars as the concert and recording instruments. Over the years I have brought into Australia a number of Vilaplanas but is was exciting to see what these guitars can do in the hands of world class players. Here are some clips:

Ali Arango’s performance at the Palau de Música- Recuerdos de Alhambra “Tarrega”.
Con ella ha ganado el prestigioso "Certamen Internacional de Guitarra Clásica Andrés Segovia". El guitarrista cubano Alí Arango ha quedado en primer lugar en la final del Certamen Internacional de Guitarra Clásica Andrés Segovia. Un prestigioso concurso con el nombre de uno de los más grandes guitarristas de la historia.
