The Rondine C400 clip-on tuner (often known as the Baffin C400) is a compact, digital, chromatic device ideal for guitar, bass, violin, and ukulele. Its design detects vibrations through the headstock for precise tuning, even in noisy environments.

How to use it correctly

Placement: Open the clip and attach it firmly to the flat part of your guitar’s headstock.

Power on: Press the power button (usually located on the back or side of the tuner).

Mode (if applicable): If the tuner is multi-chromatic, press the button to select “G” (Guitar) mode.

Tuning: Pluck an open string. The tuner will display the note (for example, E for the sixth string), and the screen will change color (usually green) when you reach perfect tuning (440 Hz).

Standard strings: Follow the usual guitar string order (from lowest to highest pitch): E (6th), A (5th), D (4th), G (3rd), B (2nd), E (1st).
