Teodoro Perez Guitars

The Luthier - Teodoro Perez

Teodoro Pérez belongs to the select group of Madrid School's original guitar makers who have given remarkable fame and prestige to Madrid's Spanish artisan guitars.

Teodoro Pérez was born in the province of Soria in 1952.

In 1966 he moved to Madrid, where he began his apprenticeship/training in the José Ramirez III workshop. During these years, he had the great honour to meet some of the great maestros of the twentieth century, including Andrés Segovia, Narciso Yepes and many others.

In 1991, after 26 years working with José Ramírez III, he decided to open his own workshop.

His main secret lies in the fine woods he uses; he says that just by looking at a piece of wood he knows exactly what the guitar will sound like. It also lies in craftsmanship performed with great care and, of course, in his unique style, which confers personality and character to all of his instruments.

His children Sergio and Beatriz have also joined help him at the workshop, helping to extend their father's remarkable legacy on to the future.

These new products that we have added to our range, are concert standard guitars at attractive mid-range prices.
