Overview:  

Lincoln Brady is a registered teacher of 'Music' and 'Guitar' and is a graduate of Trinity College of Music, London and of the University of Adelaide.

He has taught Guitar over the past 30 years at tertiary, secondary and primary school levels in Sydney and in Adelaide and has performed a variety of guitar styles - classical, pop, rock, folk, jazz, and flamenco - in many of the best venues and on TV as a soloist and in several bands and ensembles with some of the best local musicians.

 He has premiered several new works for guitar by leading overseas composers and many of his own compositions and arrangements are published in Europe and America.

Teaching Experience:

Examiner

  • Official adjudicator of the "Adelaide Eisteddfod" Classical Guitar Divisions (2015) and of the "Strathalbyn Eisteddford" (1998 - 2005) Guitar/Vocal sections.

  • Member of the exam panel for Strings at "Flinders Street School of Music" and for the "University of Adelaide". 


Tutor, Guitar and Music Theory

  • 1986-1990 tutored guitar, music theory and composition at the "Australian Institute of Music", Sydney (formerly "Sydney School of Guitar").

  • 1994 - present: teaching at several Adelaide schools and private studios at Morphett Vale and Unley. Prepared hundreds of students for exams ("Trinity College of Music, London"), music scholarships, and for auditions.

  • 2001 (March - November) "Flinders Street School of Music" (TAFE), Lecturer in Guitar in the degree, diploma and certificate courses there until the school's closure at the end of 2001.

"Classical Guitar Society of South Australia, Inc." - Committee Member (President)  - 1995 to 2003.
The CGSSA presented many guitarists in concert and in masterclasses -
Prof. Josep Henriquez (Head of Guitar, Barcelona Conservatorium of Music),
Papp Sandor (Hungary), Remi Boucher (Canada), Karin Schaupp, Adrian Walter,
ZOO Duo (Holland), Richard Charlton, and many others.
Also presented 3 Guitar Festivals in Adelaide with Open & Junior Guitar Competitions.
